The Training Begins…

After a busy summer and the realisation that the weeks are truly flying past us, I have had to get myself into full training mode for my Kilimanjaro climb in January. I took myself and my little training partner Karis, up Ben Lomond last weekend and we were lucky to climb it on one of the most beautiful days we’ve had this (Scottish) summer.

It was a toughie but so worth it as the views were outstanding! We went up the Ptarmigan path which was far quieter than the usual tourist route although a good bit steeper and challenging in parts. As always, you meet some interesting people along the way (most from other countries) and the whole experience from beginning to end makes you proud to be Scottish. We are lucky to live in such a beautiful country filled with amazing people. 😉

The gorgeous sunshine we had was more than a bonus but what really kept me going was the people who have already donated to my JustGiving page in aid of Revive MS Support. The total is already over £700!! I’m overwhelmed at the generosity & encouragement from so many friends. Makes that tough climb just a little easier……

Next weekend, I’ll be heading north to Glencoe. I’ll keep you updated on my progress.
