A Little About Cheryl….
I had flipped in and out of yoga over the years without ever really finding my love of it until I was in my 30’s. Like so many others, I turned to yoga as I was having some problems with my health – a degenerated disc which caused me to have 2 spinal surgeries to fuse my spine together. I had the second of my surgeries in London in August 2015 and that point was truly a light bulb moment in that I would never again take my body for granted. Soon after, as part of my recovery I started regular yoga classes and this was when I found my passion in it as it not only helped me in the physical sense but it helped me emotionally too.
Three years later, I gained my qualification as a yoga teacher and I haven’t looked back. Being a yoga teacher has become one of the most rewarding things I have done in my life. The pleasure in not only seeing my students improve in their practice but also seeing them improve health-wise is second-to-none.
Currently, I live in Cumbernauld where I hold regular group classes locally and I also provide 121 tuition where I will travel as far as Ayrshire and the Lothians. 2020 has now seen us start streaming yoga classes which you can join from the comfort of your own home or wherever you are in the world!
My qualification is with the worldwide recognised Yoga Alliance and I studied under Gerry Kielty at Balance Studios in Glasgow where I still attend classes.
